Max HD size for T60???

#1 Post by ianrm » Sun May 06, 2007 7:26 pm

Hi guys, new member,
first post.

Just bought a new T60, it's an older model 1951-43M with a core duo 1.86. I want to put a 160GB drive in the main slot, am looking at a ST9160821AS Seagate 5400.3 sata drive. Any reason this won't work? Have not seen anyone ask what is the max size allowable by T60 bios?

Thanks in advance.

Because there isn't one as far as we know.

The T60 can use any SATA HD currently available as well as the larger ones waiting in the wings.

Thanks James,
you've eased my worried mind. Would I be correct in thinking that goes the same for a 2nd HD in the ultrabay slim slot?

Thanks

Yep. I've got two 160GB HDs in my T60P.

Are these the 7200RPM Seagates? If so, how do they compare to the 7K100s we've been pimping for the last year?

Inquiring minds want to know

They are the 5400 model, I'm on a bit of a budget at present.
