Unknown Device

#1 Post by perkinqq » Mon May 07, 2007 11:15 am

I have an unknown device on my Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9

Does anyone know what this is?

I've tried downloading the INF update utility, etc. from intel and I still can't get rid of the ? unknown device... any suggestions would help.

That's intel 945 chipset. Windows and lenovo system updates should take care of it.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

i've used the thinkvantage system update countless times and for some reason, this driver is never properly updated (ie: it still shows up as an unknown device)

Try re-installing the driver and manually pointing to C:\Windows\Inf for the driver. (Worked for USB drivers).
