question about T60

I have laptop T60 with 1 GB of RAM. I would like to upgrade it to 2 GB of RAM. Is it support up to 2 GB of RAM.

Yes, a T60 will support beyond 2GB of RAM.
W510 - 4318-CTO (15.6" FHD, i7-820, 8GB DD3, 500GB)
T60P - 8744-J2U (LG 15.4" WSXGA+, 2.0GHz, 4GB DDR2, 500GB 7200RPM, FireGL 256MB, Vista Business)
T60 - (15.4" - WSXGA - 2.0GHz, 2GB DDR2, 320GB)
R40 - 2681 (15" XGA, 2.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 40GB)

Supports up to 4 GB of RAM.

Only has two slots. So, for 2 GB of RAM, you need two 1 GB RAM sticks. I hope you have 1 GB RAM stick instead of 2 512 MB sticks. That would mean you will have to throw one out.

The T60 will only let you use 3GB of RAM, but you can install 4GB. This is a limitation in the chipset and Lenovo's configuration of this machine.
