Nope, and none will come. So i'll take extremely good care of the T60p with the UXGA IPS when it arrives.
Like i think you have suggested before, i don't see that much more great features about the thinkpads that truely sets them in their own league anymore.
Sure the LCD now has a roll cage - but even if you dissassemble a T42 one would find out that it has support behind the lid cover as well. There is even more support in the T60.
The nvidia card is fast, yes, but i'd rather use an advanced dock at home with a power hog than a power hog on the road.
I guess it is hard to be "different" and more innovative than brand X, so i don't blaim them.

Not a bad point. Maybe they could use PVA panels to compensate the shortage of IPS ones...

This will not happen. TN only, widescreen only, low res only ... I don't believe it will change

My desktop screen's a samsung 193P with a PVA pannel, its colours are absolutely stunning. Why don't laptop manufacturers go that way? Anyway this is OT...

It has been discussed to death. Small market, small sizes comapring to LCD TV boom.

Has it? i thought IPS were was but not PVA. I'll go and do a search...
