ThinkPad T61 has been released yesterday. I looked at it on www.ibm.ca. This is the first time widescreen panel used on 14" model. I don't know how the screen quality comparing to the old 4:3 model. Any feedback or info about the new LCD panel?

Actually, the Z6xt was the first 14.1" (and 14.0") model, and from the T61 service manual, some models of the T61 use the same panel as the Z61t. I have a Samsung WXGA+ Z61t here and the panel is brighter (and of course sharper) than the XGA Samsung and Hydis panels on our other ThinkPads.

Wideangle panels also help with angel of viewing, since typical LCD has less angle of view vertically, having less vertical space means your eyes travel less, so there is less color difference between the top and bottom of the screen.

The new screen is not good as the old 15" model? Am I right? If so, I'll sell my current 14" T60 and get a 15" one.
