My First Laptop (T60p)

Hi everyone, just got confirmation that my new 8743CT T60p has shipped from Lenovo. I'm really excited, but I would like some advice on what I should do when I first get it. From browsing around it seems like the unanimous first step would be to backup the system using the ThinkVantage Suite. Any other tips for me regarding drivers, patches, etc? The operating system is Vista Home Premium. Thanks in advance for all the help/advice

Run through Windows update and the Thinkvantage System Updater.

Then, use your system in its "out of the box" configuration for a while before you uninstall any of the Thinkvantage apps. There are more features then you might imagine tucked away here and there.
