#1 Post by bpetterson » Mon May 14, 2007 4:30 pm

2007-8JU 14" screen.

The Sonic Recorder worked at one time-- but now

"Mediahub.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

If I delete program in " add or remove programs "

Will Thinkvantage Productivity Center under restore
help to put it back???????????

I had this problem on a T60P. It may have happened after I used System Update to automatically download an update to Sonic Solutions, but I can't prove that. In any event, I uninstalled the software using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, and then I manually downloaded and installed the latest Sonic Solutions package from Lenovo. Works fine now.

Thanks.
Yes I had used the auto to update also.
I also was using IBM Voice Dictation #10 which required a lot of unblocking which in turn may have caused the problem.

I ended up doing a fresh recovery.

My recent T60P-15 2623-DDU exhibited the same problem with Sonic.
So I deleted Client Security and that fixed it.
However on that unit , when I try to compact files in Outlook Express, they get sent to the recycle bin as a .bak file.
Oh Well.

On top of that- last week my A31P died.
Something about a memary dump.
To make the story short-- I removed one memory chip and all is well.

Remember when Windows 3.1 came on 23 floppys.

I sort of think that I am getting to old to work on computers.
Come August 12th this year, I'll be 82.
