screw caps

#1 Post by Zweibel » Tue May 15, 2007 9:04 am

Since Lenovo is not prepared to tighten the hinges of my T60 I will have to do it myself.
Can somebody tell me how to remove the screw caps at the side of the display. Are they glued on?
Thank you.

Actually, I don't think one can tighten any screws. The hinges need to be replaced.

That may be the case. It seems to me that on the 14" T60 there are 2 screws underneath and 2 on top of the hinge attachments. I have seen TPs in the past where the hinges wobbled a bit because they weren't secure enough at the attachment points, having a "look-see" costs only time - purely a suggestion.
