underclocking t60p with v5250

IS it possible to underclock the V5250 so that the fan doesnt run as much? I have noticed that the reason (more often than not) that my fan runs is due to the GPU temps rising even though I am using word/excel/etc. I would rather underclock the GPU, have less fan noise, and more battery life.

I want to do this as well. I've done a little digging and I think the only way to do this is to use Omega drivers. Using the stock ATI drivers I don't think it is possible to underclock the GPU.
If you install the Omega driver I think you should be able to use AtiTool.

On my T42p I can use the ATITool utility with the original Lenovo drivers. Download the utility. It might shave 2-3C off your GPU

try nhc. it works for my z61m t2300 ati x1400
my gpu temps are never more than 4-5 degrees hotter than my cpu temps (41-45degrees)

No he has a FireGL. However since it's from ATI the same theory applies.

I wish the same theory applied. I have ATITOOL and NHC and I can't get it to work. I was hoping that he had a 5250 and he could share what he did to get it to work.
