XFX GeForce PCI-e video cards in Advanced Dock with T60p
XFX GeForce PCI-e video cards in Advanced Dock with T60p
Does anyone have any first-hand experience with using XFX GeForce video cards dual-DVI in the Advanced Dock with a T60p running Windows Vista?
I'm trying to consider video card options for having a dual-head or triple-head DVI display.
Do these work (physically, and drivers) in the Advanced Dock with the T60p and Vista?

XFX GeForce 7600GT

How do they compare to this Radeon, which was discussed in another thread?

In my hours of searching, here's what I can come up with...
Is long as it fits (as in, it will fit in a normal PCI-E slot on a normal desktop), and doesn't expand past a standard heatsink and/or fan, it will work. If the worst happens, and it doesn't fit, you should be able to return the card, correct?
EDIT: Also see this post: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=42571

Yes, returning by mail is an option, however being that I live in Hawaii the cost of shipping and returning items gets very expensive since everything is sent by 2-day Fedex. There isn't any local store where I live that sells these higher-end graphics cards. We have a Walmart, Kmart, Radio Shack, and Costco, that's it!
I'm interested in the XFX GeForce Nvidia line of video cards for my Advanced Dock and T60p running Vista, just because the XFX GeForce Nvidia cards have gotten good reviews, and I've had a good experience with having XFX GeForce Nvidia AGP cards in my desktop computers.
Just was wondering if the XFX PCI-e cards I listed above physically fit in the Advanced Dock, and if the drivers work well with the T60p and Vista. Hoping not to have to do trial-and-error by mailorder and 2-day Fedex.

Here's an image of the PCI-E dock slot (I believe this is the latest version of the dock).
This page is also the most comprehensive collection of any information on the Dock:

Just to quote...
So I'm guessing, yes. From looking at the XFX version, it looks more than thin enough to fit. I would get it, rest assured.I'm running a heatsink-based 7600GS card in the slot.

I have the GeForce 7600GS XFX video card running in my T60P docking station. It fits fine and works well. I am running XP and haven't upgraded to Vista -yet. But at least it runs in the Docking station. The fan on the dock is a bit annoying but hey I have 2 screens now so life is bueno!
