Bluetooth Peripheral Device
I'm doing a clean (format and install full version) install of Vista onto my T60p ...
The driver for the Bluetooth Radio is enabled and seems to be working ...
In device manager I'm getting two unknown Bluetooth devices
Any ideas please ?

Hi, I have the same problem. When Iam start the OS Vista, an error apperar: bluetooth peripheral device - it can't find any driver.
I updated my system (about 300MB update
), I downloaded manualy latest drivers and firmware from lenovo, but nothing helps.
Because of that, I cannot pair my T60 with Nokia 6110 Navigator and to Net.

I also have a T60p. When I first got my laptop, I couldn't figure out how to enable the built in bluetooth. After fiddling around for a while, I found that in order to use the built in bluetooth, you have to physically switch on the wireless switch (under the palmrest on the left hand side), and press fn+f5 and choose enable both wireless and bluetooth. Then the bluetooth driver will install itself.
Hope this helps.

Have you done for Vista both the Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Firmware update first and then also the

Okay lets try checking a few things here, if you'll bear with me.commander wrote:

First Right click on the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar in the bottom right hand corner. Click on show Bluetooth devices, (should be the second option) Under options (tab) what options are checked? Click on the hardware tab, then click on "ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Dat..." to highlight it and then on properties. On the new window, click on Advanced (tab) you should see a Manufacturer Id, what is it? and also a HCI version, and a LMP version what are they?
When you installed the driver, it tells you that you need to reboot. Did you after un-installing the old driver and before installing the new one? This is important, you can't cheat on this step.

OK Everything looks good so far. Have you downloaded and installed the Bluetooth Data Suite [MA-730/MA-730G] for Nokia 6110 Navigator? It sounds as if that might be your problem? You've got a Phone (I believe) rather than a headset, or a device with simple built-in drivers. Your device can connect in a number of ways, over the same connection.

That suite has the drivers your phone needs. The drivers Vista can't find. I believe you'll need to install it or extract it and point Vista at the drivers contained in it. It's the same principle here as for a Pocket PC device, the drivers for them are in ActiveSync (Or Windows Mobile Device Center in Vista) which is a part of their software.commander wrote:I didn't install my phone PC suite yet, because I hope that is not the problem.
ThinkPad T60p T7600 4 GB RAM 320 GB 7200 RPM HD Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2 5.1 4.7 4.2 4.6 5.8So I installed the PC suite, but the device is stil unknown. Again, this is not the problem about the phone, then the Vista cannot alocate bluetooth drivers.
My software to GPRS connection is set that the bluetooth is on COM4 port, but in device manager there are still "!" icon at the bluetooth peripheral device item.
I used this software from T-mobile on other DELL(IrDA), another DELL (bluetooth and XP) and on my PC with USB bluetooth(xp) without any problems.
