Hello Everyone!
I just did a fresh installation of Windows XP, Everything is all Installed.. but when my computer boots to Client Security Solution 8.0 and asks me to enter a new password to enroll the logged in User, it give me this message.
"The user could not be enrolled with Client Security Solution."
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling CSS8 and even the Fingerprint software 5.6 but I just cannot seem to figure out how to fix this..
Any Suggestions would be great! im starting to go bald.

Not sure this will help, but I just upgraded to CSS 8.0 on my new T60p running XP Pro. To do so, I had to first upgrade to Rescue and Recover 4.0 from the Lenovo website (8.0 won't run with earlier versions of R&R). In both cases, I had to uninstall R&R and CSS 7.1 prior to installing the new versions. There's detailed instructions and some helpful readme files on the Lenovo downloads page.
One side benefit: XP boots much faster now

do I have to have r & r 4 installed to use the password manager portion of the css8?

My understanding is that R&R is necessary for the CSS software to work (which is why you have to have R&R 4.0 for CSS 8.0)
Hope this helps.

Did you uninstall CSS 8 before installing R&R 4 and then reinstall CSS 8? I know, what a hassle, but the instructions were very explicit about the order of installation:
a) uninstall (if installed) any earlier versions of CSS and R&R
b) install R&R 4.0
c) install CSS 8
If it still gives you the error, you might try downloading again the relevant fingerprint drivers after you've done a, b, and c.
Best of luck

Didn't know that about support... I share the ??$ ! One last thought -- have you posted this problem on the Lenovo/IBM forum on
www.notebookreview.com ? I've gotten lots of help there setting up my new T60p.

I did the same upgrade and I had to install the new fingerprint drivers before CSS 8 would run.
Hope that helps

Well After much reading.. I have found the solution for my problem ,, the TPM securty chip needed to be cleared in the BIOS.. but there was no option to do this without holding ESC then powering down then reentering the bios. . then the Option is there.. This problem sometimes occurs when switching OS's for eg, Windows XP to Vista
Thanks for all the help
