Problems with TV capture card/incorrect IRQ settings??

#1 Post by RPapendiek » Sat May 19, 2007 5:38 am

Hello to the forum,

my new T60 (2007-43G, Intel DualCore T2400@1,83GHz, 1GB, ATI Mobility Radeon X1300) has some problems with my TV capture card (TerraTec Cinergy 400 TV mobile MKII). When configured in DVD solution capture (720x576) I get an vertical area of interference - independent of the TV picture (it's not related to interlacing settings). It seems to me that this flickering arae is the result of the fact that the pixels are not updated quickly enough so the current picture is mixed with pixels of older pictures.
The same card works perfectly fine with my old T40 ThinkPad - so the card itself is o.k.
The most current drivers are installed, BIOS level 2.12. installed.
Now I am wondering whether this problem could be solved by changing the IRQ settings. In fact, almost all devices (i.e. SATA disk, network devices, graphic adapter and the TV capture card) share the same IRQ 16!
Unfortunately, I did not find a way to change this. In the BIOS there is PCI IRQ setting section but I do not know what the effect will be (currently all entries are 11). How is this related to the resources information provided by the ThinkPad configuration utility? Where can I find some documentation on these topics?

Thanks in advance...

Ralph (Germany)
