Extracting Password from Fingerprint Reader
I set a BIOS and power-on a long time ago and forgot them. Is there a way to extract them from the finger-print chip?

Joe in Australia can obtain your password, but its not free and you need to build a small RS232 device and dismantle your T60:

I don't remember how or where, but I'm sure you can reset all your password if you still remember where is your finger.wswartzendruber wrote:I set a BIOS and power-on a long time ago and forgot them. Is there a way to extract them from the finger-print chip?
Anyways, that will allow you to change the pass, not to recover it. Password encryption algorithms are one-way and not reversible., of course.
Try playing with Thinkvantage Client Security Solution.
