yes , this is my question:
Can I use Intel® Turbo Memory hard drive cache on my T60?
I know it takes WAN slot, but I am not sure if we can use it on T60?
I really want to use Vista.

The T60's chipset does not support Turbo Memory. Santa Rosa + Crestline will support this.

hmm... so we already have an open mini PCIe slot in T60's? I would like to think that regardless of chipset, the flash memory would just show up as another device in windows for use by readydrive... There may be a chipset-specific logic that enables the use of this card however. If the OS controls whether data is written to flash or the hard drive then it may be feasible. If the chipset intercepts requests for the hard drive and caches them to the flash memory, then it wouldn't be feasible for the current chipsets. I am curious however, if we could use an expresscard SSD to do the same trick as that would allow the use of the PCIe interface as well.

i personally think WAN take pci slot, and my t60 does not have wan card which means i have a open slot. however, if this memory is only for santa rosa platform, i am not able to use it on my t60.

The card wont do anything unless Lenovo puts support for it into the BIOS. There is an authorized card check, and if its not on the list, the machine wont even boot.

I have a patched BIOS, machine boots fine, but it just doesn't see the card in that slot, as if nothing is there.
Changing BIOS setting to turn additional WAN device (slot) on/off - does nothing.
Intel Turbo, just doesn't work in T60's.
