Arrow Keys in Excel

I use excel daily, and there seems to be one annoyance with T60 and Excel.
The arrow keys when at cell level not sheet or page level do not move from cell to cell. i.e. right arrow key when pressed should complete entry and move to next cell to right.
Instead the arrow keys always operate at page level. i.e. right arrow key moves page one cell to the right, down arrow key moves page one row down.

Is there a fix for this?

Excel 2003 works just fine on my T60 using the arrow keys from cell to cell. Make sure "scroll lock" is off.
