Repetitive login software "CSS user authentication"

#1 Post by jang » Tue May 22, 2007 11:47 am

Hello everyone. Just want to ask if everyone's experiencing the same issue as with me. I am using the fingerprint security. But everytime I start windows, CSS user authentication pops up, wherein all I'll do is press OK since it already has default user, then I have to scan my fingerprint. I find this very repetitive, and the initial login wherein I press OK is utterly useless for me. Any way to minimize these steps?

Can I also switch user profiles according to the finger I use for fingerprint login?

I think I saw a new CSS 8, will this solve my problem?

It solved the problem for me :) But it is somewhat of a hassle to upgrade. You have to uninstall rescue and recovery and the current version of CSS unless you already have Rescue and Recovery 4.0 (I didn't and my T60 is less than a month old) Then you install Rescue and Recovery 4.0 and then CSS version 8.0 The download page on Lenovo's website does have instructions. The upside is that booting up is much faster without the repetitive log-in cues.
