Issues with Wireless Card Drivers

Hi all,

Hoping somebody can help me out. I've just recently rebuilt a Lenvo T60 laptop running Windows XP and I've had huge drama's trying to get the wireless card to work. For some reason whilst it appears to be installed correctly I cannot get it to see any access points what so ever.

I've gone through System Update and it detects I need to download and install the wireless card drivers for my Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG network adaptor. Once completed and rebooted however I still cannot see any access points at all. I haven't even bothered to install access connections as yet as I'm not sure if it will make any difference.

Further to that, I cannot power the wireless adaptor on via the Fn + F5, nor can I power it on using the switch at the front of the laptop. If I power it off it cannot be powered back on unless I disable and re enable the adaptor.

can anyone give me any pointers?

Thanks in advance.

Try installing access connection. XP stock utilities for wireless connection is messy and does not function well.
