Questions about Catalyst Center for T60p

New to forum and owner of a brand-new T60p (2.33 / 2GB / 100GB 7200 RPM / FireGL V5250). Other than being a bit noisy, it's great. I do occasional 3D engineering work and thus wanted the workstation graphics card, but I'm unfamiliar with ATI. When I use the Catalyst Control Center, all of the 3D rendering tools (Anti-Aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering, Mipmap Detail Level) have their previews disabled. The ATI documentation is pretty sparse, and the only mention I can find of the preview being disabled is "Note: 3D Preview is not available for systems with integrated graphics on the motherboard." Unless I'm confused by the terminology, I wouldn't think this would apply to the T60p, which as far as I understand it has the discrete ATI Chipset (rather than, for example, the integrated Intel graphics). Is there anyone out there with a similar setup who does have these previews working? I have listed my software versions below in case there's a driver issue (though I have run System Update and it doesn't report anything as missing).

Driver Packaging Version 8.293.1-060913a-036475C-Lenovo
Provider ATI Technologies Inc.
2D Driver Version 6.14.10.6635
2D Driver File Path System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Video/{945D8F27-E004-4A9D-850E-247F1CEDA945}/0000
Direct3D Version 6.14.10.0431
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.6068
CATALYST® Control Center Version 1.2.2447.13670

Thanks to anyone who can help.
