How to disable ThinkVantage Password Manager

#1 Post by Anthony S » Sun May 27, 2007 8:04 am

How can I disable the ThinkVantage Password Manager which keeps offering to manage my passwords (for which I have a better method)?

I could uninstall CSS, but that is a drastic solution which would mean sacrificing other functionality.
Current: T60p (2007-93G). Previous: T23 (2647-9LG).

I've just found the answer to my question. In Add/Remove Programs select Change for CSS and Modify to uninstall the Password Manager.

Launch "Client Security Solutions" from program list.
Click on Password Manager in the first CSS screen.
Click on Disable.

I'm running CSS 8 on my R50p and that works.

I'm running CSS 7 which doesn't seem to allow disabling of Password Manager. But uninstalling it has the same effect.
