T60 fingerprint logoff?

I just bought a new T60 with fingerprint scanner. It came preloaded with Vista Business which I erased and installed XP. I seem to have set it up the fingerprint software properly as I can use my fingers to login at the BIOS screen and all. However, Windows XP also asks me to swipe my finger during logoff or shutdown. Is this normal? Can this be turned off?

You have the "more secure" settings (a.k.a. paranoid setting).
Go to Client Security Solution and set "more convenient".
Also you can disable it there.
Enjoy.

Hmm, will try installing CSS. I only have the Fingerprint Software 5.6 installed since I didn't think I'd need the extra features of CSS. Will install and see, thanks!

Go to ``Fingerprint Software`` and change settings to ``Convenient Mode``. It will solve this issue.

I already have Fingerprint Software set to Convenient Mode (default). Installing CSS also doesn't help. The settings screen only has options for power-on security, not power-off security.
The logoff/shutdown process stops at the "Saving user settings..." screen. If FUS is enabled, it displays a prompt to swipe my finger, if FUS is disabled, it just sits there without any prompt until I swipe my finger.
Any more ideas?
