T60p noise with headphones

When I have headphones plugged into my T60p and I have nothing playing, I can hear a *very* faint beeping sound in the background. I have a nice pair of Shure headphones, so I sometimes hear things that I normally wouldn't wearing a different pair of headphones, but either way the sound is starting to bother me.
Does anyone else have this issue, and is there any way to fix it?

hmm never heard of this issue before - the sound on my T60 is a little low at full volume but never any static or noise in it - when i've had this problem with desktops it was invariably something to do with noise usually around the motherboard...

Its funny you should say that, because there's actually a problem with my motherboard and I just sent the machine to Lenovo this morning to get it fixed. Hopefully, the problem will be gone when I get it back...
