T61 delayed.
I was suppose to receive my T61 on 6/7. I was buying it on my corporate card. My boss said it would be better to put it on my personal card and submit a voucher for reimbursement. This is because if I use the corporate card the IT people would need to have the computer to install their supervisory and hard drive passwords along with other corporate and security software. Ownership would also be corporate. In order to change payment I had to cancel my order and resubmit it. Now my ship date is August 28. I'm guessing the difference in the shipping date is a result of switching from business to personal.
I'm wondering if it would be better to just cancel this order. 3 months is a lifetime in technology changes and who knows what changes will happen while I'm waiting. I'm very disappointed.
I wouldn't despair quite yet. Your delayed ship date is most likely NOT due to your switch in payment, but a reflection of Lenovo's difficulty in meeting demand for the T61s (and several supply issues I believe). Lots of people have been receiving August ship dates in the past week. Even more positive, several pp's on this site and on notebookreviews.com have called Lenovo and been reassured that the August shipping dates are not valid, but are due to a problem with the online ordering system. Lenovo claims that most orders will be fulfilled within 3-4 weeks.

Woah, under 30 posts and already becoming an organization pedant...I'm getting old.
