T60p Adding Fingerprint Reader

I have a 2007 AD1 and it did not come with the Fingerprint reader.

1. Can I swap out the palm rest with one with the reader?
2. If yes, does anyone know the FRU?

I'm not technical enough to find the answers on lenovo.com

I'm more than certain that you'd need to swap the motherboard as well, in addition to the palmrest. At least that was the case with T4x series...

Yes, You can do this.
I was able to swap T60 2007 EC1 with palmrest with fingerprint reader from 1952 AP2.
