I am curious.
What is your Windows Experience Index for the graphic card (aero effects and 3D gaming, business,... whatever)?

Because of
this, the newer and bigger so called touch of art cooling fan.

The 2+ minutes of blah blah blah at the beginning bored me to death. I did enjoy the fast forward unpacking bit though, but not the next series of blah blah blah...

The video card scored a 4.0, infact the ratings went as follows:
Processor: 4.9
Memory: 4.8
Graphics: 4.0
Gaming Graphics: 4.5/4.6 (different results on two tries)
Primary HD: 4.8
Base Score: 4.0 (because it takes the lowest score)

As someone who is not up to speed regarding YouTube, what is the benefit of rating a video or having someone subscribe to your YouTube channel? I am sure you receive some benefit, but what is it? As ryengineer said above regarding your request: "¿Porqué?"
That's great you got a new T61 to use.
What have you been using lately, before the T61 arrived? Is the T61 much of a step up for you?

Rating and and subscribing allows the poster of the video a better chance of being seen. The more that a video is rated or commented on, the higher up the visibility food chain it will climb. For example, if someone were to log into YouTube to look at videos, they could choose a certain type of video, such as Howto-DIY (which is what this video is under), comedy, people and blogs, etc....they can also choose to look at the most viewed, rated, commented, or what have you.....and the videos with the most views, ratings, comments will be closer to the top. It is like using google to find an answer....you'd want your video to be on the first page, or preferably the first response....make sense?

Sorry, I did ramble ALOT in this video...but you should have seen the original cut at about 45 minutes....I had to trim it to fit under the 10 minute limit set by YouTube...
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the sped up part, though....it was my favorite part, too...

great video,
I'll show that to my relatives to demonstrate them that I'm still quite sane
Just my two cents
I found it a bit unfair to compare the thickness of a R40 to a T61.
What about producing a video, showing
a T43, T60 and your new T61 side by side?

Thanks....my sanity is still in question.
As for the comparison...the R40 is the newest Thinkpad that I own....if I knew someone locally that had a newer system that I could compare it to, I would...

why would the fan on the bottom affect the screen location?

Is that a 15" display on your R40?
Also, what kind of keyboard came with your T61?

HYFwangsta wrote:why would the fan on the bottom affect the screen location?
There’s a greater bezel area to the left than the right. The reason is again due to the more area the fan is occupying and perhaps due to the new location of headphone jacks too.

The R40 has a 14" LCD.
The keyboard on the T61 is 42T3241, which isn't listed in the HMM

Can you comment on the keyboard quality, compared to your other Thinkpads?

To add little to this, be fair to compare it with T4x or T60/p.

Unfortunately, I cannot compare it to the T4x or T60, as underclocker is requesting....
As for the feel in general...I like it. It has a clackety feel to it, but it doesn't have quite the same recoil that the older keys used to have.

Awesome, thanks a lot.
Its performance seems to be only behind V5250 a little bit.

No problem.
Forgive my ignorance, but what is a V5250?
EDIT: Nevermind, I googled and saw that it is the ATI equivilent.

Yeah, I didn't get to include the specs in the video, because I ran out of time. They are included in the description to the right of the video itself...you just have to click "more", where it says: "Here is a rather lengthy video of me ... (more)"
But to make it easier, here are the specs:
Product: ThinkPad T61 7664-17U [change]
Operating system: All [change]
Original description: T7300(2GHz)
2GB RAM
160GB 5400rpm HD
14.1in 1440x900 LCD
128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M
CDRW/DVDRW
Intel 802.11agn
Bluetooth
Modem
1Gb Ethernet
UltraNav
Secure
