Weight of T61 15.4"

#1 Post by izl101 » Tue Jun 05, 2007 2:16 pm

Hi,
I would like to know the weight of
T61 15.4". Most websites show the weight of T61 14.1" is 5lb. However, I cannot find the weight of 15.4 size. I am guessing it will be close to 5.5lb or 6lb. I will appreciate if you have more accurate information.

Your guess is good - between 5.5 and 6 lb. Some ambiguous numbers were pulled out and discussed in this thread: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=43563

If you can get an actual part number, you can substitute that at the end of this link
http://www5.pc.ibm.com/us/products.nsf/ ... p/_2007G4U

That may provide an accurate weight.

2.5 kg is travel weight in IBM spec
2.75 kg is "real" weight. I think that's 6-cell.

That sounds right -- tabook says "from 5.9 lbs". Interestingly that's slightly less than the T60 15.4", which is quoted as "from 6.05 lbs".
