T61: WXGA+ with X3100?

So one of my co-workers is getting a T61 ... he likes at 14" WS models, but the model selection is a bit limited when it comes to combining the screen resolution with the graphics.
The X3100 models have about 5.5h of battery life, but the NVIDIA GPU drops that down to 3.8h. But almost all the X3100s have only WXGA (1280x800) screens, whereas NVIDIAs generally have WXGA+ (1440x900).
Now, tabook lists 7661-XAU with X3100 and WXGA+ so it seems the combination is feasible. But it's an education model ... has anyone spotted standard models with this combination?

I bought an educational model and they never asked for prove that I am a student. So your co-worker could just go with the educational model if it has everything he wants.

I ordered a T61 14.1" WS with X3100 and WXGA+ from Lenovo and you still can configure a T61 that way.. so what's this discussion about?

Resorting to my usual trick of digging data out of the Hardware Maintenance Manual, we have ...
LCD panel, 14.1-in. WXGA+
6480-CTO
7658-CTO, 11x, 12x, X3x, X6x
7659-CTO, 14x, 15x, 16x, 1Bx, 1Cx, 1Dx, 1Fx, 1Gx, XAx
7660-CTO, 12x, 14x
7661-CTO, 13x, XAx
System board assembly, Intel GMA X3100 GM965 with 1394 for T61
6480-all
7658-all
7659-all
7660-all
7661-all
I don't know which regions or channels the different models are marketed in, but the US 14.1W X3100 configurable version is the 7658CTO, which certainly allows selecting a WXGA+ screen.

That's exactly it -- CTO models are only available in the US. The rest of the world has to find an appropriate pre-configured combination.
Memory and disks, even wireless and CPUs, can be upgraded afterward, but you really need to have the right motherboard (with the right graphics) and the right LCD panel.

Thanks, David, I didn't think of checking the HMM. Given that we can't get the CTO models, that leaves ...
7658-11x, 12x, X3x, X6x
7659-14x, 15x, 16x, 1Bx, 1Cx, 1Dx, 1Fx, 1Gx, XAx
7660-12x, 14x
7661-13x, XAx
And that does match the 7661-XAU educational model I found. Now I'll do some more digging to see if I can spot something else that matches ...
