highlighted part number: 6460-6XG

google returned 9 hits and one of them was this official lenovo PDF: http://lenovo.inet.com.mk/FILES/PUBLIC/ ... E%20v1.pdf

i saved it incase it goes down, but the specs for the t61p are as follows:

Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.20 GHz, 2 GB RAM (2x 1GB), 100 GB 7200 RPM HDD, 15.4" TFT WUXGA (1920 x 1200), nVidia Quadro FX 570M 256 MB, Super Multiburner Plus, Intel WLan 4965 a/g/n, Bluetooth, FingerPrint, 4-1 CardReader, 6 Cell Battery, Windows Vista Ultimate x64

Thoughts? I want one NOW

Wow great find!

I cannot wait for Lenovo to release the T61p, so I can finally order it and get on with my life (and stop checking lenovo.com every 5 minutes).

I have one general question, does the Intel a/g/n Wireless not support 802.11b?

Hehe, if you want i got the official PDF's for this machine, but please PM me. Please note that this model is for Greece and EMEA, not sure if it is the one released over the other side of the Atlantic.

That's pretty nice for a 15.4 model, although I'd have liked to have seen the new 200GB 7200RPM drives as 100GB is not really enough these days, at least in my opinion.

The Quadro FX 570M 256MB is a "Performance" model but not high-end, I'd like to see benchmarks before I put my money on it.

And shame that there's no 9-cell, it'll probably need it.

Yeh you're right, they've only really just come out.

Off-topic but when's the T62 expected, I was just wandering what the gap between releases is for lenovo.

you can always buy a 2.5" hard disk and change it, small cost, easy job. Just reinstalling everything can be a pain in the butt, but at least the positive side is you have a clean installation without any crappy/demo/useless software such the Norton trial or Diskeeper Lite etc.

p.s I can't see any T62 coming for at least a year or so.

That's good news to me. It might very well be The T62 by the time I get a new Thinkpad.

I know it's quite a simple operation, I'd just prefer to pay more not to have to do it myself. My experience with putting things back together - they're never quite the same.

Thanks for your help.

Actually you're reading one line below for the price info.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Huh? There are only three lines with the word "WUXGA", one line says "not yet announced" for the price, and the other two say "$3,194".

Not to mention the website is for "Republic of Macedonia" and all the prices are meant for merely those guys.

Well, at least we know it's coming! I am also checking the website every couple of hours for the T61p to show up. I thought it was to come out on the 5th.
If the Z & R61p are in the 3K price range then we should expect something similar.
Hopefully there will be a 14" 4:3 version 'cause the list only shows a 15.4.
Anyone have any concrete info on the blu-ray burner?

actually, google cache does have info from the IBM/Lenovo website about the WUXGA T61p:

http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:PlYd ... =clnk&cd=1

so it seems the information was there, but - maybe given the fact the product got delayed - withdrawn.
