Client Security Software Issues

Hi,
My CSS will not reassociate the security keys. I used my fingerprint to log into windows, and recently changed the password. CSS asked me to enter the password... It said authorization failed. I have called IBM over 4 times and the last time they told me to clear the security chip. No help at all. Now CSS cannot associate the keys for my account. I swiched over to passphrase authorization, and tried to change the passphrase, but the cssppchange.exe fails to initialize, even when opening it from the run window!

PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks in advance,

Corey

Maybe this patch will help... good luck.

This hotfix solves an issue where encrypted data is lost in the following scenario:

1. You use a Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)-based computer.
2. You log on to the computer as a local user.
3. You receive a password expiration notification message.
4. You change the password to a new password.

After you change the password, you cannot access encrypted data on your computer, including EFS files, certificates, and certain configuration information that Lenovo software (including Client Security Solution and Rescue and Recovery) uses.

VISTA!
