T61 14.1" standard screen models

XGA, but no SXGA+, yet, per the PSREF v. 323 that came out yesterday.

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitu ... tabook.pdf

Three 14.1" standard screen models, 8895 or 8896, all XGA (1024X768), X3100, 150 nits.

T7300, 1GB, 80/120GB, combo or DVD±RW

Dimensions/weights:

For the 6-cells:
12.3" x 10.0" x 1.1-1.3"; 313mm x 255mm x 27.5-32.4mm
Weight with optical drive and battery: 5.3 lb (2.4kg)
6-cell: up to 5.7 hr; 9-cell: up to 8.6 hr; 9-cell plus Ultrabay battery: up to 10.1 hr

9-cell dimensions (ignoring the battery?)
12.3" x 10.0" x 1.1-1.3"; 313mm x 255mm x 27.5-32.4mm
Weight with optical drive and battery: 5.6 lb (2.55kg)
9-cell: up to 8.6 hr; 9-cell plus Ultrabay battery: up to 10.1 hr

Shouldn't the depth be more like 10.8", with the 9-cell?

One can hope that the SXGA+ screen will be brighter. Is the SXGA+ option waiting on nVidia drivers? If so, it's unclear why, given that the X3100 is used for SXGA+ screens on the new X61 tablet.

P.S. Lenovo should get better proofreaders for specs in their product listings.

Scroll down to the Weights & Dimensions section for one of the new T61 models:
http://www5.pc.ibm.com/us/products.nsf/ ... p/_88952FU

Weight: 2.35lbs
Height: 27.6in
Width: 312.5in
Depth: 255in

Yikes.
