Remove CSS, but keep Fingerprint SW?

I'm running CSS7, but find the login procedure slow. If I remove CSS, I guess I can continue using the Fingerprint SW?
Would it be faster? Would fingerprint checking work as before?
Is it OK to remove CSS via the control panel or should I disable the security chip first or something?

Yes. Yes.

Yes it is OK to remove from Control panel. You don't have to disable the security chip.

Thanks, that's what I did and I now have a fast and simple logon. There's frankly nothing in CSS that I miss.
