2x1GB 5300 Memory Issue(s)

My T60p came with 1.5GB 5300 (1GB + 512MB) Hynix memory installed and I flipped in a 1GB 5300 Crucial DIMM. Everything worked fine and dandy for about 3 months, and now it suddenly decided to die on me.

If I check each individual DIMM, it works fine. However, if I try to install a memory module into the upper RAM slot (by itself) I get 4 intermittent beeps and a black screen. If I install DIMMs into both slots, I get no beeps and a black screen (with battery and power-on indicators, operational DVD/fan/etc).

I'm wondering if there's an easy fix for this, or if the 2nd slot is just dead. Thanks in advance!

Slot is dead. Call Lenovo for a warranty repair.
