T61 motorcycle madness

Inside the Box has a Lenovo PR video clip up at http://www.lenovoblogs.com/insidethebox/?p=86 with a motorcycle dancing on top of a T61.

A commenter posed a question that I had wondered about as well, do the 14.1 4:3 models have the same "roll cage" construction for the display? Apparently not, at least for the models listed in the initial Hardware Maintenance Manual for T61/R61 with a 14.1 4:3 screen (ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mo ... 2x3545.pdf).

As I commented on Inside the Box, based on the specs listed in the HMM, (no roll cage, only integrated graphics, no camera) the initial 14.1 4:3 models look like a T61e/R61e.

Does anyone know of forthcoming 14.1 4:3 models that might include the display roll cage, cameras, or discrete graphics?

AFAIK rollcages, webcams etc. have been first time introduced with the Z-series widescreen notebooks. If you compare a 14" Z-series widescreen (Z61t) with the new 14" T61/Z61 widescreen notebooks, you will find them to be very similar in size and probably also in some of the internal designs.

Thus I can imagine, that they initially have just taken over some of the Z-series widescreen rollcage designs over to the new T61/R61 series here and leaved the 4:3 T61 models case as before.

According to page 102 (108 in Acro reader lower bar) of this document:

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mo ... 2x3545.pdf

it seems that the non-wide 14.1" T61 has indeed the roll cage.
