T60p: Whenever I unplug, wireless fails.

My new widescreen T60p came today, and, largely, I'm enjoying it, but it has one glaring and mind-bendingly bizarre problem:

Every time I unplug the power cable, I spontaneously disconnect from my wireless network, and nothing but a reboot can fix it. Both the windows network finder and the ThinkVantage access point finder report that the card is working, but that no networks are available. Running "repair" doesn't fix it. Plugging the cable back in doesn't fix it. I have to restart. It's really freaking weird.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this happening? Any suggestions?

try the power settings in the device manager. XP is prolly turning off the card to save power. Go to the properties of the card and then click power management and uncheck allow computer to turn this device off to save power.

you're welcome, i take payment via Visa or Mastercard thank you :)

Oh andit's weird that i see a lot of people suggesting that and it actually works. LOL I wasn't sure if that was the problem but i've heard of that happening. Funny enough i've never had that problem on any of my laptops. My T42 has that option enabled and i don't have any problems when i unplug.

Glad its working now tho... :) (thanks for that payment by the way, i need some new work shoes)
