T60P & Vista, won't wake up

#1 Post by jgrobertson » Thu Jun 21, 2007 7:37 pm

I have Vista 64 on a T60:P with T7400 CPU. Also I have all the Lenovo driver installed.

Sometimes it won't wake up from sleep and I have force power off. Anyone know of any history or hints about this?

It has the Windows Mobility feature which seams to get in the way sometimes of Access Connections, the display management (presentation manager - using ATI Mobiloity Fire GL V5200) and perhaps power control??

If these drivers are conflicting any advice?

Oh ya, I have tried that with Vista.

In fact to the extent that Lenovo support advised me to install XP, since Vista drivers at times were not working.

So I quit Vista for the time being, and installed XP. Vista is still present on my service partition, and will be installed when a service pack comes out, and lenovo gets some new driver revisions.

I advise you do the same, cause I fiddled with drivers for ages, and as mentioned, discovered that Lenovo had not really tested Vista ti the xtent that it worked flawlessly.

Of course these comments stem from my own impressions, and are not necessarily a fact of life.

cheers.

I have also tried Vista and return immediately to XP. at least I've found nothing good except the aero profil.
