bought a T61 and then canceled it

i bought a T61 and canceled it because i wanted a different config. but i just received an email from lenova and they just provided me with a tracking number.... is it possible they didn't cancel it? i called my CC company and they said lenova didn't charge me. what's going on? i called lenova but i was waiting for a rep for like 20 minutes so i gave up. anyone experienced this before? do they charge you AFTER i receive the laptop or what? thanks!
