i have just been informed by my lenovo rep that i should no longer wait on the standard ratio t61. although lenovo will be producing them (hence, their presence in the tabook), they will only be offered to schools, governments, and large companies. therefore, out-of-school, self-employed peons such as myself won't have the option to own one.

as always, this is hearsay, so take it for what its worth...

If that is the case, they will be on ebay sooner or later.

I really can't figure out the rationale of such a decision, if it turns out to be confirmed...

It seems to me that in this way they will rule out a whole bunch of potential clients who, for one reason or another, prefer standard 4:3 laptops (I am among them).
