and after only 30 or 40 min while it is to be asleep it is off when 40 minutes past after being in nb bag. has to restart, nothing in the event viewer pointing to anything, no mini dump. has remote wireless logitech kb/mouse (just updated that software) also has harmony remote (did not update that yet). any other ideas? could it be hardware? would the pc dr in windows find anything? its the CEO's nb so I am trying to solve issue, also he noted it was slow and slow in and out of resume when it works.

Check in Power Manager or in Power Options in Windows Control Panel. Is it set to Hibernate after a certain period of time while on batteries?
