Hi,

I'd like to make my T60 totally quiet, and from what I've understood is the heat comming from the X1400's GPU. (or is it due bad vents?)
So, I'm thinking of buying another graphics card, mabye the one that is in the T61 series?
They say T61 is the most silent Thinkpad ever made, is that due to graphics card or new cooling system?

Will switching graphics card make my T60 silent?
Would love to hear your guys point of view.

It's the combination of both and you cannot upgrade the gpu. However you can put a compatible card in the advanced dock for other purposes.

This thread would give you some ideas and guidelines.
