Does the Thinkvantage Power manager conflict with Window Vista's power manager? Which one is actually controlling the power management of the computer?
I created a custom power profile in the Thinkvantage Power manager, but it seems that when I am on AC power, the Thinkvantage power manager is applying the "while on battery" power profile. I can tell because I have the display brightness set to different levels in the 2 profiles. As soon as I click okay in the edit customer profiles screen, the screen brightness is lowered to the "while on battery" level.
I am thinking about uninstalling the Thinkvantage Power manager. Are there any downsides to this?
Thanks in advance for the help guys.
