T60P w/Vista 64 won't come out of sleep sometimes.

I have intalled Vista 64 on a T60P (2623DDU) with a Core 2 Duo processor replacement and 3 Gig ram.

Sometimes, after putting it to sleep (usually by shutting the lid) it won't come out of sleep and I have to cold boot it.

Seams that it has to do with what is going on when it goes to sleep. If all applicaitons are closed, network disconnected, wireless disabled etc. then it is ok.

But today, it would not wake up but it was hot. It was still running internally and all night?

Any thoughts?

I do have all the partches and drivers from Lenovo and MS.

Had the same problem. Found out that it was caused by the bluetooth and ati not playing nice together under vista.

There's a KB article explaining this issue http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929577. But the hotfix is included in lenovos latest bluetooth drivers for vista. I would suggest you to first install the latest drivers from lenovo for your video card and after that the bluetooth drivers which provide this hotfix.

Hmm, I have installed the latest video drivers from ATI for this Fire GL 5200. These are one release newer than what Lenovo has on its site. Do you know if that is [part of the problem?

It was a problem on my machine. Had to revert to the lenovo display drivers.

And have you also installed the bluetooth drivers from lenovo if applicable for your machine?
