Thinkpad T60P and Gentoo.

I want to buy the Thinkpad T60P serial : 8744j2f

and I want to know : if I will be able to install Gentoo on it, because I know that the T61 is a little toff to install, because of the Turbo Memory feature that comes with this new serie.

I have a T60 I got in March and I was able to install slackware linux on it without any problems. You should be able to do the same with a T60p and gentoo. Good luck.

Did you install Grub inside the MBR or in the / ?

I think that when you install GRUB inside the MBR, you will crash the ThinkVantage button...

Am I right ?

I actually use lilo. I installed it in the mbr though without any problem. I removed the backup partition and I don't have any function with the thinkvantage button now even in windows which I dual boot with linux. Good luck.
