Dimensions of T61

#1 Post by mdougal » Thu Jul 05, 2007 1:34 pm

Are these the correct dimensions for the ThinkPad T61 15.4" widescreen?

Dimensions: 13.2" x 9.3" x 1.09 - 1.26"

Is the width and height of the 14.1" version the same?

well of-course the width wouldn't be the same and i think the 14" is a lil thinner too, it's closer to 1". The 15.4" widescreen is like 1.1" wider

Those are actually the dimensions for the 14.1" widescreen T61 with 4-cell battery. So I guess you're asking whether the 14.1" 4:3 T61 have similar width and height? I can't find any info in the Tabook, but I am pretty sure it's not as wide.

I have just come across this thread while trying to identify my own T61 and I am surprised that nobody has corrected the basic misapprehension, which is that there are not two but THREE different sizes of T61.

These are the normal 14.1 inch, the widescreen 14.1 inch, and the widescreen 15.4 inch.

The dimensions that matter, quite obviously, are the widths, which are 313.0, 335.5, and 357.5 mm respectively. Depths, heights, and weights vary depending inter alia on what battery is fitted.

Can I claim a prize for ancient thread resurrection?
