T61p inquiry

Good evening forum, long time no visit!

After exactly 3 years with my trusty T42p, I think I might be ready for an upgrade. In researching the latest offerings, it seems the elusive t61p may be officially released soon. I've done the requisite searches and haven't seen much past the supposed Jun07 launch, but it sounds like some countries already have T61p SKUs in stock?

I'm pretty stoked about the discrete gfx options on the latest thinkpads. The Quadro 140M should be more than sufficient for my casual gaming needs, and the possibility of an 8600GT-equivalent 570M is even better

Anyways, just wondering if there was any breaking news I missed.
If the /p won't come out until after mid-Aug, I might just go for a 14.1" T61 w/ Nvidia instead - my school has a pretty good deal on them (though unfortunately non-customizable so I'd lose the webcam, faster CPU, etc).

Also, anyone know if there are promos coming up soon(coupons, Campus Purchase Programs, etc.)?

no body knows the exact date for the release,
on notebook review they cited that the date july 11th could be when details are released or it will be available for order ?

Btw, the specs for your ordered t61 are very close to what I'm looking at right now (t61p aside). At this point, I'm just hoping that config results in 3 hours of battery life with conservative use...
