For a similar price, buying from visaperks is a better deal than off ebay because the visaperks one is 100% refundable without hassle for 30 days. No restocking fees.

I got my two last Thinkpads from this ebay store:

http://stores.ebay.com/ThinkPadWorld

I had not problems... it was worth it, even with the customs fees paid from the US into Canada (around 10% if I'm correct, it depends on which province you're in).

eBay works just fine for me :)

I'm sure the visaperks deal is good but to me mine is good also (but that's my compulsive buyer side telling me that). Mmm, one more day wait.

I'll post pics and a short, short review of the eBay service and the laptop initial impressions.

The only restriction is you have to buy using a visa credit card
thanks, interesting thing - directly from lenovo, just -$200 or like that. The only problem they have one model only there in perks... :)

Only one model?? Did you click on the notebooks link->thinkpads on the left?? The show only 2 models in the front page but there are lots inside. Also note that the T61 model in the front page for 1399 has 1 yr warranty while there is a couple of more T61's with the same price and config and 3 year warranty hidden inside the notebooks link :D

wow! that's just cool, man! thanks a lot!!!

the same configuration (with additional stuff like dock) I was about to buy came up in total after Quebec taxes $240 CAD less (with new total due: $2,612)!...
Hence coming from visaperks gives discount not only for the notebook itself, but for all other additional items you add. Not bad, eh?! :)
