How is the display quality of the T61 15.4" WXGA?
And is it also as quiet and cool like the T61 14.1" WXGA?

Re: T61 15.4" WXGA - display quality?
Display is bright, viewing angles are ordinary, no flexview offering. Yes, it's cool and quiet, even comes with 9 cell battery that sticks out and adds more weight to the notebook.palta wrote:How is the display quality of the T61 15.4" WXGA?

I don't own any T61.
Screen is evenly illuminated, very very bright infact but you're going to suffer with poor viewing angles if you're picky on screen preference. Angles will be something like the left system in this snap (none of them is T61).

The image is correct by a bit misleading - viewing angle is clearly optimized for left/right and top. The colors invert (as seen in the snapshot) only if you look at the screen from below, that is, through the keyboard if the screen is in the upright position.ryengineer wrote: Angles will be something like the left system in this snap (none of them is T61).
Comparing the viewing angles with my consumer desktop LCD displays, I'd say they are about the same. Of course the IPS panel is superior. In any case, if you do photo work you should get an external monitor.
