I found one dead pixel on my T61 WXGA+ 14.1" screen. I am not very happy
Are there any minimum dead pixel that I can request a replacement or have it fxied?
Thanks in advance.

Lenovo has a 11 deal-pixel minumum to qualify for a return.

Man, that's a lot! I expected it to be 3 to 5.

I thought it was a max of around 5 dark or 5 bright or something like that. So 6 dark pixels=bad, 5 dark+1 bright="ok"

actually i happened to stumble on the f-u table the other day.
there's a table of the number dead pixels they consider "OK" based on the display size and resolution. If you have less than that they will tell you f-u if you ask for a replacement.
under hints and tips:
Display (LCD) replacement for defective pixels - ThinkPad
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4U9P53
lowest amount is 5- highest amount is 16 depending on dsiplay size, resolution, and if all the pixels are stuck on or off or a mixture.
if it's within your 30 days I think you can return it and buy a new one?

for WXGA+ screens it looks like you can have 10 bright, 12 dark or up to FIFTEEN light and dark pixels mixed and they wont do a thing

Actually the same thing happened to me when I received my T61...
Although, you might want to check and make sure it's just stuck and not dead.. There is a HUGE difference.. I have been able to get rid of mine for some time and when it comes back it just give it a little tap and viola!
BTW, it's 9 pixels, i called and begged to hve it replaced!

Scary. That's one reason why it's safer to buy a used-but-almost-new Thinkpad than ordering a brand new one from Lenovo, so that you can find out if the unit has any dead pixels prior to purchasing it.
