T60 Vista to XP

Ok I have only had my T60 for 3 days and after loading some of my old programs, it seems that most of my programs have glitches with Vista. I was going to put XP Professional on it but when it starts to install is can't find the sata drive. So does anybody have any suggestions either way...Thanks Michael

Go to the BIOS and change the SATA controller to "compatibility mode".
