T61p UWB or not (can't get a straight answer)?

Does the T61p have UWB built in or not? I have looked high and low on Lenovo's website and through the T61P configuration, but I see nothing about UWB. The TABOOK.PDF (massive spec sheet) lists UWB as "None (uses Half-Mini PCI Express slot)". I also called them and their sales people had mixed responses (some yes, some no, and some "you mean USB?"). Anyone have the actual answer? Also if it isn't included when will it be and can it be added on later?

URL for PDF Spec Sheet:

Although I guess we won't know for sure until it arrives, when you configure the machine online, the UWB option is selected, and you can't remove it. In addition, when I spoke with a sales person, he said that it was included. -- Ken

Where on the T61p config is it? I can't find the option.

It's probably "Wireless Personal Area Network".
Hows about I let you know when they finally ship me mine in August?

It seems that the T61p in the tabook do not have the UWB. :( And the 6457 does not have draft-n support neither, which would be nice because until now that is the only one with warranty in Europe and America.

My order shows the following included:

42V8600 SBB UWB ANTENNA
42X1455 SBB GEO LBL US,WLAN,BLT,UWB

Wireless Personal Area Network Help me decide
ThinkPad Wireless USB Adapter

So, I guess, it might include UWB in addition to "traditional" Bluetooth.

Would there be a possibility to install the UWB module by myself after I bought a model that doesn't have it?

You can probably order it from Lenovo, but getting it aftermarket will be more expensive. Also, if it's a custom IBM part, it won't generally by available from other sources. If it's not, you should be careful about the firmware-locking they might do to prevent you from installing 3rd-party mini-PCI cards

Best is to call and ensure it's included before you order.

The only reason for me to install the UWB by myself is that there are no T61p out there with warranty in the US AND Germany. I also cannot find a T61p with UWB at Lenovo Germany, which is probably the reason for that.

Thanks for your help.
