T61p and Blu-ray

I want to buy a t61p now that they are out but really want one with a blu-ray drive. If i order now is there anyway to purchase the blu-ray drive and replace the dvd recordable drive?

The only other option I see at this time with blu-ray and these specs is the hp 8510w, which is more expensive and not proven.

one reason it's more expensive is because the BD drive alone is like $500-700, why waist that much money for unproven technology. It's not like you're gonna be burning alot of BD Discs, you and watching BD discs on a 15" monitor wont give you the extra detail so you desire.

HD shows it's potential on 30" and up screens, even tho it's 1920 x 1080 still doesn't make it worth it.

You're probably more likely to get Blu-Ray on the R series. The T series use the super slim 9.5mm height drives whereas the R series use regular size drives. I think there has already been some mention of Blu-Ray being available on the R series at some point.
